George Worthmore And Nat Langston Duo
May 7 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Hold onto your hats….George is back with lots of great new tunes, and the same bad attitude! George Worthmore, a star in the New York City music scene for over twenty years, began with a one-year stint as a guitarist with Kinky Friedman. He’s played backup guitar for Bo Diddley, Ben E. King, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, Lou Christy, and The Platters. He has also played shows as a second guitarist with Hot Tuna.
He emigrated to South Africa in 1997 where he owned and operated the world famous Blues Room, that country’s number one, award winning, live music venue.
This amazing New York Blues Foundation Hall Of Fame Member is joined by Nat Langston. Nat began playing guitar at the age of 14, he was quickly drawn to the great unplugged bluesmen of the Mississippi Delta and the Piedmont regions of the Carolinas. Some of his early influences were artists such as Blind Blake, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Reverend Gary Davis, and Robert Johnson.
