Paul Duffy/Sid Wingfield Band

August 29 @ 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm

| $5

At the age of nine in his home city of Dublin, Ireland, Paul Duffy taught himself to play the saxophone — and promptly played it on a tightrope. He went on to learn bagpipes, bass, drums, flute, guitar, keyboards, tin whistle, and the trumpet. He traveled on international tours with The Commitments, and performanced with Ben E. King, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, Brian Johnson, Suzi Quatro and other music legends before moving to Sarasota.
An accomplished piano and organ player, Sid Wingfield was inducted into the Iowa Blues Hall of Fame in 2001. In addition to playing with Luther Allison throughout the late ’70s, he has also shared stages with Muddy Waters, Taj Mahal, Albert King, Albert Collins, Delbert McClinton and B.B. King, among many others. The very amiable Mr. Wingfield now calls Sarasota his home.
Paul Duffy, Sidney James Wingfield, Mark Serio, Steve Camilleri, and Burt Engelsman complete the band. A Thursday night to rock your socks off!
